Quick single-take repair. This can be done without removing the transformer, but for the purposes of this video, we removed it for better viewing.
We went back in, reflowed all solder, and re-glued the transformer to reduce the effects of vibration.

Ford F5JL-12A297-DA for Genie lift, inspection before repair
This unit arrived with the complaint of firing on 2 of 4 cylinders on the same bank. Upon opening it up there are obvious signs of corrosion and water damage. We will need to strip the conformal coating from the board, wash it, and reflow all solder once completed, we will determine if the 2nd bank output transistor that is corroded is salvageable.

Englander 25-PUF pellet stove repair
Customer sent this unit in stating that Englander helped them diagnose this unit down to either a bad thermocouple or bad board. Customer ordered and sent the new thermocouple with the unit to be tested and repaired if necessary. TRIAC on igniter circuit was shorted and the Gate pin was separated from the package. This short caused the igniter to be on, even in the off state.
We had already diagnosed this controller with a bad TRIAC prior to starting this video recording.

Hayward ECOMMAND 4 GLX-PCB-HPC-4 Running Slow - RTC & Crystal replacement

On this Viking board, they had a few burned traces and a varister that did it job to protect the board as best it could. Another Englander Repair for PU-CB240-06 for 25-PUF Pellet Stove
Another Englander Repair, this unit came in with a shorted TRIAC on the room fan and a non-working keypad. Bad keypads are becoming more and more common, they are not sold by englander, we had our own made. All units are fully tested on our benches using 100w incandescent bulbs. TRIACS require a load to be tested correctly; you can't just throw a meter across the hot and neutral output; they require a load to be measured in the off state and variable voltage state. The bulbs represent: igniter, combustion fan, bottom auger, top auger, room fan. We repair these Englanders for a flat rate fee of $155, no matter what it needs. A customer sent in this Crestron TPS-200L with a common "dead screen" complaint. Often we can just replace the CFCL backlights on these, This one was a little different than most of these Crestron units.

Hayward Goldline GLX-PCB-MAIN Time Repair and Cell Repair
We Repaired the common burn spot on board and replaced Cell relay that was melted. The customer was also worried about the clock losing time, so we cleaned the board and replaced the "backup battery"(Supercapacitor). Tested time for 6 hours, and it maintained time again. RTC and crystal were still encapsulated in a good conformal coating.

Englander Upper Auger Issues
After repair, customer stated upper auger would not run. RMA test shows that with no safetys in place upper auger runs. Informed customer to check for a closed exhaust. If vent is closed the air flow vacuum sensors will not trigger. This is required to detect air flow for safety reasons.

QSC 12.2 Repaired after abuse at Burning Man 2023
This is 1 of 2 that Died after being run on a generator at Burning Man. Both u it's also look like they were fully submerged in mud also.
Generator ran out of gas or was bogged down. SMPS can only do so much work trying to maintain secondary voltages before they heat up and die.
The customer did not want them cleaned.
