Quick single-take repair. This can be done without removing the transformer, but for the purposes of this video, we removed it for better viewing.

We went back in, reflowed all solder, and re-glued the transformer to reduce the effects of vibration.

This unit arrived with the complaint of firing on 2 of 4 cylinders on the same bank. Upon opening it up there are obvious signs of corrosion and water damage. We will need to strip the conformal coating from the board, wash it, and reflow all solder once completed, we will determine if the 2nd bank output transistor that is corroded is salvageable.

Dometic Duo-therm thermostat repair 3106463007 3109228

Customer sent this unit in stating that Englander helped them diagnose this unit down to either a bad thermocouple or bad board. Customer ordered and sent the new thermocouple with the unit to be tested and repaired if necessary. TRIAC on igniter circuit was shorted and the Gate pin was separated from the package. This short caused the igniter to be on, even in the off state.

We had already diagnosed this controller with a bad TRIAC prior to starting this video recording.

Our customer replaced the Supercapacitor (backup battery) and noticed his clock was still running slow. We removed his supercapacitor, RTC clock IC, and Crystal and floating decoupling capacitor. Cleaned board and installed all new parts.
